Our Public Benefit

As a Community Interest Company (registered number 79750001) we have a duty to provide public benefit.

As a company we exist to create profit from our products and services. The profit we make does not go directly to the Company Directors but to support our volunteers and to develop education programmes about the importance of recycling and upcycling.

We will also post our data on the amount of waste wood we have saved from landfill and any contributions to our public benefit by our partners.

Since we opened our doors in April 2013 we have saved 798.3 tons of wood waste from landfill

We have also recieved 1,266 days of volunteering

Volunteers

Our volunteers have come to us by many different routes, many of them are people from the local community who are retired or unemployed and are passionate about working with wood and recycling.

We are currently looking for volunteer drivers, if you have a clean driving licence and can lift a pallet you could volunteer for as many hours a week as you want to. Many people volunteer for 1 day per week or more. Telephone 0116 2511483 for more information
